How institutions in Armenia access OCRE cloud

Institutions in Armenia access the OCRE 2024 framework through ASNET-AM, their National Research and Education Network (NREN). VSHN is the sole Exoscale reseller in the OCRE catalogue and ranked number one in all countries it serves. Institutions can use the cascade method (direct award) to place an order without a competition round.

Exoscale datacenter closest to Armenia: Sofia (bg-sof-1). Guaranteed data location, no US CLOUD Act exposure. All data egress to GÉANT and connected NRENs is waived.

Die Infrastruktur, die du über OCRE beziehst, betrieben von Exoscale in der Zone deiner Wahl. Auf Compute und Storage gilt der Rahmenvertragsrabatt, Traffic zu GÉANT und verbundenen NRENs ist kostenlos.

Compute Virtuelle Server, sekundengenau abgerechnet, von 0.5 bis 225 GB RAM, standardmässig mit AES-256-XTS-Verschlüsselung im Ruhezustand. GPU-Server NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000, A40, A30, A5000 und V100 für Training, Inferenz und HPC, sekundengenau abgerechnet. Als eigenständige Instanzen oder als GPU-Node-Pools in einem SKS-Kubernetes-Cluster. Blockspeicher NVMe-Volumes von 1 GiB bis 10 TiB, 5'000 IOPS ohne IOPS-Gebühr, Snapshots und 99.95% SLA von Exoscale. Objektspeicher S3-kompatibel in allen 8 Zonen, Versionierung, Object Lock, Lifecycle-Regeln und Archival-Klasse auf Anfrage. Managed Databases Acht Engines auf dedizierten VMs, von PostgreSQL mit pgvector bis Thanos für langfristige Metriken. Kubernetes (SKS) Scalable Kubernetes Service mit kostenlosem Starter-Tier und Pro-Control-Plane mit 99.95% SLA von Exoscale. GPU-Node-Pools lassen sich an einen Cluster hängen, ML-Pipelines werden also wie jeder andere Workload auf GPUs eingeplant. Netzwerk Private Networks und VPC kostenlos, Security Groups, Elastic IPs, Load Balancing, IPv4 und IPv6 gratis. DNS und CDN Anycast-DNS über 40+ Server und ein Akamai-gestütztes CDN vor deinen Objektspeicher-Buckets.

VSHN Managed Services über Servala

Diese Dienste betreibt VSHN über Servala, den Open-Source-App-Store für Managed Services. Es ist ein anderes Produkt als die Exoscale DBaaS oben: Exoscale betreibt seine Datenbank-Engines auf eigener Preisliste und eigenem SLA, VSHN betreibt alles Folgende mit 24/7-Support, automatisierten Backups, verwalteten Updates und SLAs bis zu 99.99%, und derselbe Katalog läuft auch auf Cloudscale, SWITCH und on-premises. Mehrere Datenbanken gibt es auf beiden Wegen. Frag uns, was besser passt: Exoscale DBaaS ist meist günstiger, Servala legt Betrieb und Support darum herum.

Datenbanken und Messaging

Auch als Exoscale DBaaS erhältlich, dort betreibt Exoscale sie direkt und nutzt eigene Produktnamen: Exoscales In-Memory-Engine heisst Valkey, die von VSHN betriebene Redis.

Managed PostgreSQL Forschungsdatenbanken mit PostGIS für Geodaten und pgvector für KI-Embeddings. Managed MariaDB MySQL-kompatible relationale Datenbank mit Galera-Clustering für Lehr- und Fachanwendungen. Managed Redis In-Memory-Cache und Message Broker, betrieben von VSHN. Das Exoscale-DBaaS-Pendant heisst Valkey und hat dort im März 2025 Managed Redis abgelöst. Managed Kafka Event-Streaming für Sensornetze, Messdaten und Pipelines, die keine Nachricht verlieren dürfen.
